  • 1968 Beginning of violin lessons
  • 1974 Beginning of guitar and e-bass lessons
  • 1980 Participation as electric bassist in the Musical section of the Staatstheater Braunschweig
  • 1981 Beginning of double bass lessons at the Music School Hannover
  • 1984-89 classical double bass study at the Musikhochschule des Saarlandes with Andreas Huber, solo bassist at the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken.
  • 1984-91 double bass player and electric bassist both in classical orchestras / ensembles of all music genres (symphony concerts, chamber music, new music, opera, operetta and musicals), as well as in various jazz formations from duo to big band.
  • 1985 Member of em'Tryo, a piano trio of the Saarbrücken pianist >> Christoph Mudrich; until 1991 numerous tours with the trio
  • 1987-93 visit of various jazz workshops in USA, Spain, Austria and Germany (among others Miroslav Vitous, Herbie Hancock, Tony Williams, Benny Wallace, Lee Konitz, Don Friedman, Larry Willis, Attila Zoller, Ron McClure and others)
  • 1989 successful exam "Orchestermusic"
  • 1989 Jazz debut album Rebop - "Answerin" with Peter Decker - saxophones, Christoph Mudrich - piano and Oliver Strauch - drums; until 1995 several tours with this band, including Lee Konitz as a guest musician
  • 1990 foundation of the piano trio >> "Quiet Now" in Freiburg; numerous tours with the trio
  • from 1990 sideman in various jazz formations such as the "Wayne Shorter Project", Mike Schweizer Duo & Band, "Trio2Jazz", the orchestra "Palazzo Colombino", collaboration with Klaus Krisch, Peter Perfido, Michael Heitzler, Shane Brady & Friends, the jazz choir Freiburg and many more
